After seeing a recent full-page advertisement in the Wall Street Journal, our team at IDeas BIG (Brand Identity Group) looked deeper into the IGATE rebrand, and this is what we found.
Speed, Agility, Imagination: The Guiding Principles of IGATE
(PRweb) IGATE, the New Jersey-based integrated technology and operations solutions provider, today unveiled a new brand identity as part of its endeavor to recharge the organization. The brand change effected today, with the unveiling of a new logo designed to showcase the company in a recharged form with a refreshed vision, mission and core values.

Unveiling the new brand, Ashok Vemuri, President and CEO, IGATE said, “I am excited to present an all-new IGATE. We have been making changes in the organization to be closely aligned with the renewed expectations of our clients and employees. I am happy that our new logo captures our positioning appropriately underscored by the tenets of speed, agility and imagination. We envision excellence in providing technology and process solutions integrated in our proprietary way for the success of all our stakeholders.”
IGATE recently regrouped its business units based on industry verticals and also increased its hiring rate over the last two quarters. In March 2014, the company also announced a debt refinancing program providing for substantial interest cost savings over time.

“Our new logo signifies the confidence, ambition and the collective aspirations of all IGATORs to contribute to the company’s pace of growth,” said Ashok Vemuri.
“We aim to be a company with superior and predictable financial performance; a company that is innovative and learning, known for its execution excellence; that of high performance meritocracy and social consciousness. Character, commitment and competency are our ingrained values as we embark upon our new journey,” he added.

From the color to the tagline, this refresh was a much needed change for the brand. By dropping the ambiguous logo (which in our humble opinion looked like a coffee stain) and industry jargon tagline, IGATE has improved its stance and memorability. What do you think?
