Brand Consultancy Launches Name Development Services

Naperville, IL—July 9, 2009—Branding consultancy IDeas BIG (brand identity group) has launched name development services, creating brand names and trademarks for businesses and products. Naming services compliment existing capabilities in logo and visual identity development, packaging and stationery design, brochures and signage.

Founded in 2006, IDeas BIG has created logos, complete graphic identities, and now brand names for multi-billion global corporations and start-ups alike. Clients include ITW, Panasonic, Nobel Biocare, Amcor Packaging, USG, Pliant Films, and many others.

The new naming services include corporate and business name development, product and service name development, internet domain names, tagline development, trademark registration, brand architecture, name testing and translation. The IDeas BIG website features dozens of name development samples, categorized by several industry segments such as retail names, healthcare names and technology names. In addition, a Name of the Month shares recent naming assignments.

Naming services are based on a proprietary name development process developed by agency principal Neil Brown, and the basis for a recent book titled “Branding Best Practices: A Guide to Effective Business and Product Naming” published in 2008. The book is previewed on the website and includes several case studies and naming samples.

“Effective naming is becoming more important than ever due to the saturation of brand names, the high failure rate of new products, and the growing understanding that a breakthrough name can improve marketing efficiency and reduce future marketing investment,” states author and IDeas BIG principal Neil Brown.
